Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TailClaim (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use the App

Beacon Light Investments grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use TailClaim on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to the App Store's or Google Play's applicable usage rules.

3. Your Content

Everything you enter into TailClaim — pet profiles, vet visit records, photos, weight history, care schedules, and insurance claims — is yours. It's stored locally on your device only; TailClaim has no server and never receives or has access to your content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. Pricing

TailClaim is free to use, with no in-app purchases and no subscription. Every feature is available without payment, and editing or deleting your own records is never a paywalled feature.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

6. Not Insurance, Financial, Legal, or Veterinary Advice

TailClaim is a personal organizer for a pet owner's own records. It does not determine insurance coverage, does not communicate with any insurer on your behalf, and does not give financial, legal, or veterinary advice. It organizes the information you enter and performs the arithmetic you ask it to (such as deductible progress or reimbursement totals) based solely on that information. Any claim, appeal packet, or figure the App produces reflects what you entered — it is not a guarantee of what an insurer will approve, pay, or ultimately decide. You are solely responsible for verifying claim outcomes with your insurer and for any decisions you make based on the App's output.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon Light Investments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any loss of data stored on your device, or any outcome of an insurance claim or appeal.

9. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If these Terms change materially, the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Data already stored locally on your device remains yours; use "Delete all my data" in Settings to remove it, which erases it immediately and permanently since there is no other copy anywhere.
